Second day of blogging! I promise it will become more interesting.  Another day at the hospice, its weird I enjoy being there and the more I am, it makes me realise how much I want to be a nurse.  Not long to go now, I am sure the time will fly.  Kids are back to school next week so I will sort out my files and paper work to get everything in order.

I know my first year modules:

Care, Compassion and Communication
An Introduction to Human Dvelopment and Functioning Across the Age Continuum
The Role of the Nurse in Improving Well Being
Fundamentals of Caring and Professional Nursing Practice
Introduction to Decision Making

All very exciting :)

So, I will officially enrol on the 14th! and have my last Hep B jab in a couple of weeks, lets hope I don't feel icky after this one! My bursary and Student Loan is all done and dusted Woop!

I have also started buying supplies, yes folks, I love stationary! I know, quite sad!! I have my academic diary with matching pencil case and all manor of pens and pencils.  My friend has made me a fabulous bag complete with a VW Camper on the front! another friend is making me a bag charm with a 'Keep Calm I'm a Student Nurse' Keyring!! Pictures will follow :)

I am also eyeing up a student nurse mug!! Obsessed much?!

My brain is currently idle - finished Access course a few weeks ago and boy do I miss it :( I love studying!! My kids have kept me busy (and I still have a little bit of my sanity left!) and I volunteer at a local hospice in the In Patient Unit - it is such a lovely place to be and I would really like to work in Palliative Care at some point in my nursing career.

Haven't been given a reading list :( so I have been reading some chick lit 'Summer with my Sister' by Lucy Diamond, interspersed with a few nursing books and journals! I was very excited when Nursing Standard covered mitosis etc (Again, I'm very weird!).
Well Hello!

First post in my blog ~ 25 days until I become a Student Nurse (Adult).  Very scared, excited, and all other emotions.  I cannot actually believe that I am doing this, 30 years to get to this point.  Eeek, hope I can do it :)
